Artificial Intelligence or AI
AI is not a new concept to us. We have been hearing about it for quite some time now and we know the basics of what it is and how it works. How does it work? And, what actually is the difference between AI and machine learning?
1) What Is Artificial Intelligence or AI?
Artificial intelligence or AI refers to the intelligence of machines. This is in contrast to the natural intelligence of humans and other animals. Machines are not intelligent as they lack creativity, emotions, social skills, etc., which are natural human features that can be seen as an indication of intelligence.
2) How Does It Work?
The first step towards creating an artificially intelligent machine is by feeding data into a computer system and programming
A categorization of Artificial Intelligence is into four types. Arend Hintze came up with this categorization. The first type of AI is machine intelligence. This type of AI is the use of computers to do tasks that need intelligence, such as playing chess or driving a car.
The second type of AI is narrow intelligence which includes things like self-driving cars and voice assistant apps on your phone.
Third, the third type of AI is broad intelligence which includes things like machine translation and Google’s search algorithms.
Fourth, human intelligence refers to human beings that are able to think intelligently and solve problems without any technological help whatsoever.
Type 1
Reactive machines are machines that are programmed to react to situations. The best example of this type of machine is Deep Blue, the IBM chess program. When it was first introduced, it was programmed with the knowledge of chess moves and it could compete with any human opponent.
Type 2
A good example of type 2 AI is the Google Duplex, which is able to understand and carry out natural conversations.
The Google Duplex is an AI system capable of understanding and carrying out natural conversations. It was built for phone-based customer service, so it can make appointments on your behalf, check restaurant availability or simply tell you about traffic conditions.
Type 3
Theory of mind is a psychological term that refers to one's ability to understand other people's thoughts and feelings.
Typical tasks for a theory of mind assessment include: asking the subject to describe their beliefs about other people, their desires, and what they think others want from them or want them to do.
In order for Theory of Mind assessments to be accurate, the assessor must have a complete understanding of the subject’s cognitive abilities and limitations
This is the ability to infer what other people are thinking or feeling. It's also known as "Mind-Reading."
This ability is important for understanding what others are thinking or feeling. It helps us take their perspective.
Type 4
It is hard to design a system that is self-aware. This is because it needs to have an understanding of its own existence and its place in the world Such systems have a sense of themselves and understand their own strengths and weaknesses. They can adapt to any environment, and they know if their skills are appropriate for a given situation. Such AI systems can improve themselves by learning from interactions with humans or other machines, or from reading vast amounts of data about the world.
Applications of AI
Robotics:
Robotics is a branch of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering where systems are designed to be semiautonomous.
The use of artificial intelligence in robotics has helped make them more intelligent, more autonomous, and more effective.
Robots are used in diverse fields such as military, medicine, education, and construction. Let's see how robots are developing in these fields.
Military:
Robots in warfare have existed for many years now. The U.S. military is currently using drones for surveillance purposes only but the future might be different when it comes to using military robots in warfare.
Medicines:
Artificial intelligence is not only on Earth but also in outer space too! When it comes to the use of AI, machines have traveled through space and led humans to explore space.
Whether it’s about Mars missions or satellite installations in the exosphere, AI insists on going into outer space exploration.
Some of the features include the use of artificial intelligence in exploring outer space to create maps, satellite navigation, and location tracking technology.
Fitness application:
Fitness is all that people crave today. From the number of steps taken in a day to the number of calories burned, physical activity plays a major role in our health. But so is AI!
Artificial Intelligence has combined hands and strengths and led to the release of dynamic devices such as strength bands and watches that help people achieve their health levels, increase their resilience, and achieve goals. The role of Artificial Intelligence in this feature is to interpret daily data and predict future data based on machine analytics. One such example is Fitbit which works with AI-enabled exercise bands.
Face recognition:
Does your smartphone have facial recognition technology? If so, your smartphone is powered by AI. How do you think that is possible?
Yes, the use of AI involves facial recognition that focuses on learning and recognizing patterns that lead to faster and faster exits.
So when you upload your selfie and sign up for face recognition, your phone learns face recognition algorithm and the next time you log in to your phone without entering a password, your phone will unlock easily with the help of your photo alone. Face recognition is used for security and privacy purposes other than smartphones- airports, offices, etc.
Health care:
Health care is the basic foundation of all the citizens of the world. While doctors and scientists work hard to bring about changes in medicine from time to time, AI is doing little by contributing too much to the industry.
The role of AI in health care enables machines to interpret a patient's medical history and predict potential illnesses that a person may be at risk for years to come.
In addition, AI facilitated the discovery of drugs and the development of drugs to treat dangerous or deadly diseases.
The impact of AI on the industry has been very evident. Yet another medical company that has actively implemented AI in the healthcare industry is IBM Watson Health. It assists in research, data analysis, and the provision of medical solutions to clients.
Conclusion
In summary, Artificial Intelligence is widespread in people's lives. The breakup of the 21st century has led to the development of artificial intelligence that has expanded the use of technology in many areas.
To make machines work the way human intelligence works, AI has trained computers to mimic human behavior.
In time, these technologies will attempt to design neural networks that will make machines work like the human brain (neuromorphic computing).
All in all, AI has many applications that make it useful for people in everyday life. While many experts have warned mankind about AI, the future of artificial intelligence is critical to the development of technology.

My question is,are humans or Artificial Intelligence more intelligent and will Artificial intelligence always be correct, there is no chances that it might be incorrect?
